David Wright wants to be at another promotion party this time next season.

The Ipswich defender and his team-mates held champions Newcastle to a 2-2 draw at St James’ Park on Saturday.

But with the title already in the bag – and the trophy presentation taking place after the game – it was still party time on Tyneside.

Now Wright is plotting similar scenes of euphoria next season – except this time at Portman Road.

Asked about the celebrations, the defender told the Gazette: “It’s great and very inspiring.

“I was lucky enough to be part of something like that when I was at Wigan.

“I’ve experienced it and it’s a great feeling.

“That’s what this club and the fans deserve and hopefully we’ll achieve it next year."
