Colchester United want to re-sign Danny Batth for next season.
The U’s are hoping to secure the Wolves youngster for a second loan spell, after he impressed in his first full season in senior football.
Colchester manager Aidy Boothroyd wants to thrash out a deal for the promising defender, who has featured 18 times for the club so far this season.
Batth, 19, wants to carve out a future for himself at Molineux and has returned to the Midlands side for their final two Premier League games.
However, the lure of first-team football for another season at the U’s could prove attractive for the defender. And his chances at Wolves are likely to be limited next year, after they secured their Premier League status for another season.
