Colchester United narrowly saw off Zamaretto League premier division side Swindon Supermarine 1-0, to progress to the third round of the FA Cup.
David Mooney struck what proved to be the winner for the U's in the 21st minute when he finished well, after Ian Henderson had cleverly flicked on Ashley Vincent's cross.
Colchester had plenty of efforts on goal, with Mooney twice going close early in the second half.
But Marine grew in confidence as the tie went on and Jamie Gosling's left-foot effort rattled the U's post, after Ashan Holgate had acrobatically flicked on.
Ben Wells weaved his way through the U's defence before firing in a shot which was saved by goalkeeper Ben Williams, who then prevented team-mate Paul Reid from scoring an own goal.
But despite Marine's efforts Colchester saw the game out to book their place in the third round.
The draw will be made live on ITV from 6pm tomorrow.
