Colchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by lowly Yeovil Town this afternoon.
In a lacklustre affair with few chances, the U's struggled to break down a well-organised Glovers side.
Kayode Odejayi headed wide in the first half, while Anthony Wordsworth poked wide from close range, just before the break.
But Yeovil had their chances too, with Nathan Smith and former U's player Adam Virgo both having long-range efforts in the first period.
It was a similiarly tight affair in the second half.
Yeovil goalkeeper John Sullivan made a fine save to deny Odejayi and tip his effort onto the crossbar.
But the Glovers almost snatched it at the end when goalkeeper Ben Williams denied substitute Adam Phillip with his legs, deep into stoppage-time.
