Dale Whitnell's Open Championship adventure ended with the Tiptree golfer sat in a tie for 60th place alongside superstar Rory McIlroy.
The 23-year-old Five Lakes Golf Club member had a six-over par final round to finish on eight-over at Royal Lytham and St Annes in his debut appearance at one of golf's major tournaments.
In stronger winds than had been seen on the first three days, Whitnell got off to a bad start on Sunday as he dropped shots on two of the opening three holes.
He got one back at the ninth, but further dropped shots in his closing nine holes saw Whitnell slip down the leaderboard.
See Monday's Gazette for full reaction from Whitnell about his Open Championship experience.
