Former Braintree Hockey Club junior Chloe Rogers will feature in the Olympic women's hockey semi-finals on Wednesday.
Great Britain’s ladies will line up in their first Olympic semi-final in 16 years after the conclusion of the group stages saw them progress as runners-up in group A.
They finished with a 2-1 defeat by reigning Olympic champions the Netherlands but that loss didn't prevent their progress due to China's 1-0 defeat by Japan earlier in the day.
See the Gazette on Tuesday for a full report and all the latest Olympic news for our Games competitors.
