SASKIA Clark is within touching distance of an Olympic sailing gold medal.
Clark, from West Mersea, along with helm Hannah Mills regained top spot in the women’s 470 class in Weymouth after races nine and ten in Weymouth on Wednesday.
And it was a dramatic day’s sailing for the British duo as they finished the day equal on points with their nearest rivals, New Zealand’s Jo Aleh and Olivia Powrie, with 33.
And it means that they have to finish ahead of the Kiwi’s to claim gold in Friday’s medal race.
