BEN Stevenson looks set to have played his last game for Colchester United.
The 24-year-old skilful midfielder has confirmed on social media that he will be leaving the U's, once his contract expires later this summer.
Stevenson, along with striker Michael Folivi, had been listed by the club as a player there were still awaiting discussion and/or a decision from when they announced their retained list, earlier this month.
But now it seems as though the former Coventry City youngster will be moving onto pastures new, with League One outfit Doncaster Rovers a possible destination for the player.
1st game to my last.. just wanted to say thank you to @ColU_Official and all the fans for the past 3 years. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and made some friends and memories for life, I wish nothing but the best for the club 💙 #Colu pic.twitter.com/DKZZt1ocv7

Writing on Twitter, he said: '1st game to my last.. just wanted to say thank you to @ColU_Official and all the fans for the past 3 years. Thoroughly enjoyed my time and made some friends and memories for life, I wish nothing but the best for the club'
Stevenson made nearly 100 league and cup appearances for Colchester, having initially joined them on loan in January, 2018.
He signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the U's when he joined them on a permanent basis from Wolves in January, 2019.
Stevenson's departure leaves Colchester looking light of midfield options, as they build for the new season.
Harry Pell and Tom Lapslie have also departed the club since the end of last season but the U's did bring in experienced midfielder Cole Skuse from Ipswich Town on a free transfer, earlier this month.
All the best for the future Ben 💙 #ColU https://t.co/IzkGsMKv8y
