RYAN Salter has left his role as FC Clacton manager to become assistant manager at their non-league neighbours Brightlingsea Regent.
The Seasiders' victory over Romford in the Peter Butcher Memorial Trophy proved to be Salter's final game in charge at the Rush Green Bowl, after he took the decision to link up with the R's, in Pitching In Isthmian League division north.
Salter has left his role at FC Clacton after five months in charge, having replaced Tom Austin in the role last September.
It makes a return to home town club Brightlingsea for Salter, who made more than 200 appearances for the club as a player and coach and won three promotions.
He was previously assistant to Austin at the R's and also had a spell in caretaker charge at North Road, back in 2017.
The Seasiders can confirm the departure of Manager Ryan Salter.

'On behalf of the club, I cannot thank Salts enough for all that he has done during his time with us, especially this season since he stepped up to be first team manager.
'It has been an incredibly testing time for so many reasons & he has got us through that & put together what is now a settled & exciting young squad, playing great football as we saw last night.
'Salts leaves the First Team in good shape & we are very lucky to have great people involved at the club, with the remaining first team management team of Mick Hanna, Adam Daniels & Ollie Leroux taking training as usual & all fully focused on Saturday’s home game.'
