HARWICH AND PARKESTON suffered in the wind and rain, going down 3-0 at Felixstowe and Walton in the Ridgeons League premier division.
The Shrimpers have now conceded nine goals in their last two matches and their winning bubble of a few weeks ago has certainly burst.
They came up against a Felixstowe side, who are a different proposition from a month ago, and came off second best.
Boss Mark Morsley said his side were without four players from last week’s 6-0 defeat to Whitton, but feels a lack of numbers is not an issue, although shipping goals is.
He said: “It is very disappointing that we have conceded nine goals in the last two games, having gone three games without conceding before that.
“It needs addressing and I will sit down with the players this week and have a chat to see if they know what has gone amiss and then we will go from there.
“It is possible that the euphoria of a new manager has worn off. Things settled down and we had some good results but we have not performed recently.
“It is alright working hard each week but you have to work smart as well.”
Harwich are clear of the relegation zone and on a weekend when the heavens opened all over the region causing many games to be cancelled, Harwich are not much worse off than they were before.
