Just when Tiptree United's injury crisis couldn’t get any worse, it has.

Boss Colin Wallington feels he has endured a nightmare run of unavailability which has hampered the Jam-makers’ progress this season.

“Everyone moans about injuries and everything else but I have never known anything like this – it is ridiculous now.”

“It seems to become more and more players and I am running out of numbers.

“I don’t really want to bring anyone else in but it looks like I will have to. I am having 16 and 17-year-olds on the bench which is no bad thing, but you can’t put them all in at the same time.

Added to the injury list for tomorrow’s home game with Haverhill Rovers in the Ridgeons League premier division are Jamie Arlick and Nathan Clarke, while Lee Underwood in on holiday and Darren Skudder is unavailable on Boxing Day.

Keith Emmerson played in a reserve game during midweek after recovering from a foot.

However, Wallington has been dealt the news that Emmerson may have to move to Wales due to his army committments.

Wallington tracked the left-back or midfielder for a long time and was delighted to sign him when he returned from Afghanistan.

But he was injured almost straight away and Wallington is concerned he may never see the best of a talented player.
