Ten-man Braintree Town surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Dorchester Town, in Blue Square South.
The Iron had stunned their hosts in the opening half hour, scoring twice at the Jewson Stadium.
Gareth Williams drove home a free-kick from 18 yards with only 16 minutes on the clock. And on the half hour mark, he turned in the box to fire home Wayne O’Sullivan’s pass.
But Braintree’s hopes of holding on to their lead were dealt a blow six minutes later when O’Sullivan was shown a red card following a clumsy challenge.
Braintree maintained their two-goal advantage until half-time. However, Dorchester rather predictably came out all guns blazing in the second half.
An inspired display from keeper Craig Holloway helped to keep the Magpies out.
But midway through the second half, defender Roy O’Brien headed home from a corner to reduce the deficit.
Nevertheless, it looked as though Braintree had done enough already to make sure they claimed a morale-boosting victory.
However, in the fourth minute of time added on, Wes Fogden fired in from six yards, to deprive Braintree all three points.
