Colin Wallington has announced he will retire from football at the end of the season.
The Maldon Town boss has called time on his management career – a decision he revealed was made as long ago as Christmas.
Wallington, a well-known character on the non-league football circuit who turns 60 this year, told the Standard his enjoyment from football is on the wane.
“I have been going at it for a long while now and there are other things I would like to do with my life."
