Braintree Town have narrowed their search for a new manager down to two candidates.
But the newly-promoted Conference club are unlikely to unveil the identity of their new boss until the weekend, at the earliest.
Braintree have received around 100 applications for their managerial position, following Rod Stringer's decision to leave earlier this month.
They have completed the initial interview process and have narrowed their shortlist to two candidates, from the original number of four.
Now Iron are closing in on the man to lead them in their first-ever season in Blue Square Bet Premier.
