The concept that fashion is art has grown as more people experiment with fashion to express themselves as if a canvas . Self expression is a massive benefit of fashion to convey emotions and identity allowing the designer to push boundaries in order to appeal to everyone’s artistic choices .

Just like art has been used to express an era , fashion is now being used similarly as we see different trends on runways for certain periods and times . The forms of expression work together to allow us to express ourselves aesthetically which can connect us with others . Fashion and art enjoy a bold relationship to influence us globally.

How I use fashion for art? In my artwork I personally chose to link my theme of identity to fashion as I believe there is a close link .Researching illustrators and designers helped me grasp an insight on the artistic ways of the fashion world and clothing while also seeing the way they use art to produce clothes.

For this project I have researched 2 artists/designers who use illustrations to preplan their pieces . While doing this I also have learnt things so that I can eventually also use fashion to create artworks .
