No restaurant can compare to this young couple’s small business: ‘Thai Rack Glass House’.
In Royston, Hertfordshire, locals have noticed an influx of Asian cuisine restaurants popping up constantly.
However, Thai Rack Glass House consistently remains the most favourited and highly rated by customers.
Many customers told me how they had not been able to find restaurants that were up to par with this one and many travelled far to just have a meal here.
However, I was intrigued by the effect that a sudden emergence of competing establishments would have on this business.
So, I sat down with the owners to find out how they had managed.
Derek Kong has mentioned not noticing much of a difference despite new competition: “I still find Thai Rack is doing quite well, considering that there are several new restaurants in Royston, whether they’re Thai or not”
He credited this success to the friendly and authentic style of his restaurant.
“We are a classic, traditional, family-run style restaurant” he stated.
Surprisingly, even with a plethora of restaurants to choose from, no one was able to stay away!
It seems as if Thai Rack Glass House isn’t the kind of restaurant that customers can just eat at once and forget about.
Based on these findings, I looked at the menu to see what sets this business apart.
No wonder this restaurant is spoken of so highly- they were awarded a ‘Thai Select’ certification; a certification given by The Royal Thai Government to guarantee the authentic Thai food taste!
Co-owner, Mook Laohasinnarong, takes pride in this award and their menu: “We are authentic and homemade, it sets us apart.”
The food seemed to match her claims, every guest was thoroughly impressed and seemed eager to return.
Additionally, this restaurant is able to cater to everyone!
Almost every dish can be altered to be gluten free, and they accommodate to all allergies.
Often, people with dietary specifications struggle to find restaurants to eat but look no further!
And when I thought it couldn’t get better…
Soon, Thai Rack is introducing a range of new specials to their menu that they are sure will soon become fan-favourites!
Overall, it’s clear that this restaurant is flourishing despite how many restaurants are opening all around them and probably (rightly so) remain the most favourited Thai place around.
