After GCSEs, young “hustler” Eijaz Rahman sets up his own clothing business – Jundclo – and, while focusing on streetwear with a deeper meaning, he encountered various challenges, but persistence and work ethic paved this brand's story, resulting in their first T-shirt line to completely sell out within a matter of months.

Ever since he was a child, Eijaz always had a knack for entrepreneurship: “selling sweets, setting up tuck shops, content creation and more”, were all part of his forte as he stepped into this new venture.

Despite a formidable mindset, he acknowledges that “It was a big risk, and some people didn’t believe in me”.

Nevertheless, after his exams had ended he wasted little time and contacted the manufacturers, to whom he had already sent the designs for the T-Shirts, and now he was ready to sell.

It was crucial to build something "authentic" and, after identifying a gap in religious streetwear, he aimed to create a brand that embodied the mantra, "there is goodness in it" - a quote which features heavily on their clothing.

After a slow first month, sales picked up and Jundclo started to scale up, which created more opportunities to collaborate with other content creators, increasing the quality of their online engagement.

Consequently, their social media page began to take off – building a community of like-minded, young individuals, expressing their values through fashion – and now has a following of almost one thousand which was solely achieved through organic marketing; this rapid success came largely from “family and friends and my (anonymous) co-founder ” says Eijaz.

The customers find that they can "relate with the message" of the brand as wearing the words "there is goodness in everything", which is a translation of the Arabic proverb, is almost a badge of perseverance and hope - the same values that Jundclo were built upon, fulfilling the initial vision for the brand.

Moreover, Eijaz hopes to increase his reach and spread these values so that perhaps people can feel hopeful just by putting on a hoodie as they remember - "there is goodness in everything".
